Attorney Steven B. Rasile from graduated the University of Miami School of Law, Cum Laude. Prior to his graduation, he tried numerous criminal matters and violation of probation hearings with great success. For more than twenty years, Attorney Rasile has continued to represent clients in the State and Federal Criminal courts and has argued many times in front of the Connecticut Appellate Court and State Supreme Court. Additionally, Attorney Rasile has argued numerous times in front of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York City.

During this time, Attorney Rasile also represented clients for all types of civil, personal injury, probate, and real estate matters, and approaches each case anew. Many times, it is not simply the injury, harm, or loss of a loved one that is the only concern for a client. Legal issues are often linked to countless expectations and emotions and Attorney Rasile understands the importance of listening to each individual client to uniquely tailor the representation.

Steve’s philosophy is that every client is a unique individual whose story can only be told in a personal, fact-based manner, and that prior to his representation, the client’s case or story is a blank canvass. Steve considers himself a “portrait painter,” in that he will obtain as much information as he can to personalize the client to the government or judge in a criminal matter or the opposing party in other contexts.

Attorney Rasile is licensed to practice in the State Courts of Connecticut, the Connecticut Federal District Courts, Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the State of Florida.

Attorney Rasile is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Attorney Rasile was recognized as a Super Lawyer from 2015 through the present.

BAR ADMISSIONS
PRACTICE AREAS

FEDERAL CRIMINAL:

While Steve cut his teeth trying a myriad of state criminal matters in both Florida and Connecticut, he soon began focusing on federal criminal defense, especially after he realized the vast difference between federal prosecution and state prosecution. Steve understood that you cannot dabble or  experiment in the federal context,  especially given the vast resources and high-end capabilities of the U.S. Attorney’s office.

CRIMINAL:

Steve’s been defending criminal clients since before graduating law school and has a track record of high-end legal defenses in this context. He’s tried numerous matters, including murder, assault, drug trafficking, etc. to conclusion with positive results.

REAL ESTATE:

Steve’s conducted real estate closings (purchases, sales, and refinances) since he began practicing more than twenty years ago. He’s seen and handled most types of transactions or problems. Additionally, with his extensive trial and negotiation background, he’s resolved many difficult and complex contract and legal disputes in the real estate context. Many times, an attorney without Steve’s extensive litigation background, the client would’ve been made to pay, or pay more, than they should have. While most real estate transactions do not require litigation or extensive negotiation, it is important to know that Steve has that background and can flex these skills if or when needed.

PROBATE:

Steve’s been involved in numerous complicated and sophisticated estates where the law was not always well-settled or it was not black or white. In these situations, it is Steve’s vast trial experience that assisted his clients with resolutions that were not thought possible prior to retaining Steve. While most probate estates do not necessitate trials, this experience assists Steve and his client in settling issues before they warrant trial or further legal expenses.

PERSONAL INJURY:

If you’ve been injured or hurt by someone, then don’t wait to call someone off of a billboard, bus, or television advertisement. Choose a real litigator who cares about you, the client! Steve will use his extensive trial and negotiation background to obtain the best result and highest settlement possible. However, should the insurance company be unwilling to offer an appropriate settlement, then Steve’s extensive trial experience to make them pay after trial and verdict.

CIVIL LITIGATION:

Once you’ve defended or litigated a person’s liberty, there is no higher penalty. Steve utilizes his extensive trial background in criminal courts to successfully negotiate or settle civil matters. However, when needed Steve flexes his trial skills in this context just like he’s fighting for your liberty. While it may only be money at stake, the results are just as important to his clients and that makes it important to Steve.

Remember, DON’T just “Get even, Get STEVEN!”
